रहिमन धागा प्रेम का, मत तोड़ो चटकाय !
टूटे से फिर ना जुड़े , जुड़े गांठ पड़ जाए !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि मनुष्य को प्रेम का सम्बन्ध बड़ी सावधानी से निभाना चाहिए ! क्योंकि यदि रिश्तो में थोड़ी सी भी चुक हो जाये तो वह सम्बन्ध टूट जाता है ! एक बार टुटा हुआ रिश्ता फिर से जुड़ता नहीं है , और यदि जुड़ भी जाए तो उसमे पहले जैसी बात नहीं रहती है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that human beings should maintain the relationship of love very carefully! Because if a little bit is lost in the relationship then that relationship is broken! Once a broken relationship does not reconnect, and even if it is joined, it is not the same thing as before.

रहिमन खोजे ईख में , जहाँ रसनि की खानि !
जहाँ गांठ तहं रस नहीं , यही प्रीति में हानी !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि ईख रस की खान होती है , लेकिन इसमें जहाँ पर गांठ होती है वहां रस नहीं होता है ! यही बात प्रेम में है ! प्रेम मीठा और रसपूर्ण होता है पर जहाँ पर उसमे छल , कपट आ जाता है वहां पर वह प्रेम नहीं रह जाता है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that reed is a mine of juice, but there is no juice in it where there are lumps. The same thing is in love! Love is sweet and juicy, but where there is deceit, hypocrisy, there is no love at all.

रहिमन प्रीत न कीजिये, जस खीरा ने कीन !
ऊपर से दिल मिला भीतर फांके तीन !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि खीरा बाहर से तो एक समान दिखता है लेकिन भीतर से वह तीन फांक में रहता है ! उसी प्रकार मनुष्य को भी प्रेम के मामले में भीतर और बाहर से एक समान रहना चाहिए ! केवल ऊपर से दिल मिलना सच्चा प्रेम नहीं होता है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that cucumber looks the same from outside but from inside he lives in three slices! Similarly, in the matter of love, man should remain the same from inside and outside! Just getting hearts from above is not true love.

रहिमन मारग प्रेम को , मर्मत हीन मझाव !
जो डिगिहें तो फिर कहूँ , नहीं धरने को पांव !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास के अनुसार प्रेम का मार्ग अत्यंत खतरनाक और काँटों वाला होता है ! यदि कोई इस रास्ते पर चलने वाला व्यक्ति डिग गया या पथ भ्रष्ट हो गया तो उसे दुबारा पैर रखने के लिए जगह नहीं मिलेगी ! इसलिए प्रेम के पथ पर मनुष्य को अपना सर्वस्व न्योछावर रहने को तैयार रहना चाहिए !
In English : According to Rahim Das, the path of love is very dangerous and thorny! If a person walking on this path gets digested or the path is corrupted, then he will not find a place to set foot again! Therefore, on the path of love, man should be ready to give up his all-time sacrifice.

अर्थ : रहीम दास के अनुसार इस संसार में प्रेम समाप्त हो गया है ! अब केवल लोगो में स्वार्थ शेष रह गया है ! पूरी दुनिया अब स्वार्थी हो गई है ! दुनिया अब मानव रहित खोखली हो गई है !
In English : According to Rahim Das, love has ended in this world! Now only selfishness remains in the people! The whole world has become selfish now! The world has now become unmanned hollow.

रहिमन निज मन की ब्यथा , मन ही राखो गोय !
सुनि इठी लहे लोग , सब बटि न लहे कोय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि मनुष्य को अपने दुःख को मन में ही रखना चाहिए ! क्योंकि यदि आप अपने दुःख को किसी दुसरे व्यक्ति को बताएँगे तो वे आपका हंसी मजाक बनायेंगे , और कोई भी व्यक्ति आपके दुःख को नहीं बाटेगा ! इसलिए अपने दुःख का सामना स्वयं को ही करना चाहिए !
In English : Rahim Das Ji says that a man should keep his sorrow in mind! Because if you tell your grief to someone else, they will make fun of you, and no one will share your grief! Therefore, you should face your grief yourself.

एकै साधे सब सधै , सब साधे सब जाय !
रहिमन मूलहि संचिबो, फुले फले अघाय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी के अनुसार एक समय में एक काम को करने से वह काम सफल , सिद्ध हो जाता है ! वही जो व्यक्ति एक साथ अनेक काम करता है तो वह उसमे असफल हो जाता है ! जिस प्रकार वृक्ष के जड़ को सिंचित करने से उसके सभी फल फुल पते डालियाँ पुर्णतः पुष्पित , पल्लवित हो जाते है !
In English : According to Rahim Das ji, by doing one work at a time, that work becomes successful, proven! The same person who does many things at once fails in it! In the same way, by irrigating the root of a tree, all its fruits are full and flowered, fully flowered, flourished.

ज्यो चेरासी लाख में मानुस देह !
त्यों ही दुर्लभ जग में सहज सनेह !!
अर्थ : जिस प्रकार से चोरासी लाख योनियों में भटकने से मनुष्य का शरीर प्राप्त होता है , उसी प्रकार इस जगत में सहजता से अर्थार्त आसानी से स्नेह , प्रेम प्राप्त करना भी दुर्लभ है !
In English : Just as wandering among the Chorasi lakh yonies, a man’s body is obtained, similarly in this world it is rare to get love, love easily, ie easily.

रहिमन मनहि लगाई के देखि , लेहु किन कोय !
नर को बस करिबो कहा नारायरा बस होय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि जो इन्सान किसी काम को पुरे मन के साथ करता है तो उसे निश्चित रूप से सफलता मिलती है ! इसी प्रकार मन लगाकर भक्ति करने से आदमी तो क्या भगवान को भी बस में किया जा सकता है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that a person who does some work with full heart definitely gets success! In the same way, if a person does devotion with heart, can God be done in the bus.

हित रहीम इतने करे , जाकी जिती बिसात !
नहि यह रहे न वह रहे रहे कहन को बात !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार हमें लोगो की भलाई अपने सामर्थ्य के अनुसार ही करनी चाहिए ! क्योंकि इस संसार में जो लोग छोटी – छोटी भलाई करते है उनको भी जाना है और बड़े – बड़े उपकार करने वालो को भी जाना है ! केवल उनकी यादे और कर्म ही रह जाते है !
In English : According to Rahim, we should do good to the people according to our ability! Because in this world people who do little good have to go and those who do great things also have to go! Only their memories and deeds remain.

बड माया को दोस यह जो कबहू घटि जाय !
तो रहीम गरीबो भलो दुःख सहि जिए बलाय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि धनवान व्यक्ति के गरीब हो जाने पर उसे बहुत तकलीफ होती है ! इससे तो गरीब व्यक्ति अच्छा है , जो सभी दुःख सहकर भी प्रसन्न रहता है ! इसलिए सांसारिक माया से मोह करना उचित नहीं है !
In English : Rahim Das Ji says that a rich person suffers a lot when he becomes poor! This makes a poor person good, who is happy even after suffering all the sorrows! Therefore, it is not appropriate to be fascinated by worldly illusion.

खैर खून खांसी खुसी , बेर प्रीति मदपान !
रहिमन दाबे न दबे , जानत सकल जहान !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार खेरियत , हत्या खांसी , ख़ुशी , दुश्मनी , प्रेम औए शराब का पीना दुनियां से हम चाह कर भी नहीं छुपा सकते ! सारा संसार इन्हें जान जाता है !
In English : According to Rahim, we cannot hide from the world by want of wealth, murder, cough, happiness, enmity, love and drinking of alcohol! The whole world knows them.

खीरा के मुख काटि के, मलियत लोन लगाय !
रहिमन करुक मुखन को, चहिए यही सजाय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी के अनुसार खीरा के तीखे स्वाद को दूर करने के लिए उसके मुह को काटकर उसे नमक के साथ रगडा जाता है ! इसी तरह तीखा वचन बोलने वालो को भी इसी प्रकार की सजा मिलनी चाहिए ! हमें कठोर वचन बोलने वालो का त्याग और मीठे वचन बोलने वालो का स्वागत करना चाहिए !
In English : According to Rahim Das ji, to remove the pungent taste of cucumber, its mouth is cut and rubbed with salt! Similarly, those who speak sharp words should get similar punishment! We should renounce those who speak harsh words and welcome those who speak sweet words.

अनुचित वचन न मानिये , जदपि गुराइसु गाढ़ी !
है रहीम रघुनाथ ते ,सुजस भरत की बाढ़ी !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार बहुत जोर जबरदस्ती या दबाव में आकर किसी की अनुचित बात को नहीं मानना चाहिए ! यदि आपका ह्रदय नहीं कहे या कोई बड़ा आदमी गलत कहे तो उसे कभी न माने !
In English : According to Rahim, under pressure or under pressure, no one should believe inappropriate things! If you do not say your heart or some big man is wrong, then never listen to him.
15.
रहिमन तीर की चोट ते , चोट परे बचि जाय !
नयन बान की चोट ते , चोट परे मरि जाय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि मनुष्य तीर की चोट पड़ने पर बच सकता है किन्तु आँखों की मार से वह नहीं बच सकता ! नयन अर्थार्त आंख की चोट से बचना असम्भव है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that a human being can survive on the injury of an arrow, but he cannot escape from hitting the eyes! Nayan means it is impossible to avoid eye injury.

देनहार कोई ओर है , भेजत सो दिन रात !
लोग भरम हम पै धरे याते निचे नैन !!
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि हमें देने वाला कोई और प्रभु है जो हमें देने के लिए दिन – रात भेजता रहता है ! लेकिन लोगो को यह भरम है कि उन्हें रहीम देता है ! इसलिए रहीम आखे निचे करके लोगो को देता है ! ईश्वर के दान पर रहीम अपना अधिकार नहीं मानते !
In English : Rahim says that there is another God who gives us day and night to give us! But people are very happy that Rahim gives them! That is why Rahim gives it to the people at the bottom! Rahim does not accept his authority over the donation of God.

तबही लो जीबो भलो , दीबो होय न धीम !
जग में रहिबो कुचित गति, उचित न होय रहीम !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार दानी को दान देने से आनंद होता है ! मनुष्य का जीना तभी सार्थक है जब उसमे दान देने की ताकत हो ! बिना कुछ दान दिए रहीम को जीना अच्छा नहीं लगता !
In English : According to Rahim, giving donations to Daani is blissful! Man’s life is meaningful only when he has the power to donate! Rahim does not like to live without donating anything.
18.
मथत मथत माखन रहे , दही मही बिलगाय !
रहिमन सोई मीत है, भीर परे ठहराय !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि जिस बार दही को बार – बार मथने से ही उसमे से मक्खन निकलता है , ठीक उसी प्रकार अच्छे मित्र की पहचान भी दुःख के समय में ही होती है ! सच्चा मित्र दुःख के समय सहायता जरुर करता है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that the same time the butter gets out of the curd again and again, in the same way a good friend is also identified in the time of grief! A true friend helps in times of sorrow.
19.
टूटे सुजन मनाइये , जो टूटे सो बार !
रहिमन फिरि फिरि पोहिए , टूटे मुक्ताहार !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार जो व्यक्ति हमारा शुभ चिन्तक , हितेषी होता है उसे हमे हर प्रकार से मना लेना चाहिए ! ऐसे व्यक्ति को मनाने में हार – जीत का प्रश्न नहीं होना चाहिए ! मोती का हार टूट जाने पर फिर से उसे पिरो लिया जाता है क्योंकि वह मोती अत्यधिक मूल्यवान होता है !
In English : According to Rahim, the person who is our auspicious thinker, friend, should convince us in every way! There should be no question of defeat – victory in persuading such a person! Once the pearl necklace is broken, it is threaded again because that pearl is very valuable.
20.
जलहि मिलाई रहीम ज्यो, कियो आपु सग छीर !
अगबहि आपुहि आप त्यों , सकल आंच की भीर !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि दूध पानी को अपने में समाहित कर लेता है , पर दूध को आग पर चढाने से पानी ऊपर जाता है , और अंत तक सहता रहता है ! सच्चे दोस्त की भी यही पहचान होती है !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that milk contains water in itself, but by pouring the milk on the fire, the water goes up and endures till the end! True friends also have the same identity.

सवे रहीम नर धन्य है ,पर उपकारी अंग !
बाँटने बारे को लगे , ज्यो मेहंदी के रंग !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार वह मनुष्य धन्य है को परोपकार में लगा हुआ है ! जैसे मेहंदी को पिसने वाले के हाथ में मेहंदी लग कर उसे सुन्दर बना देती है !
In English : According to Rahim, that blessed man is engaged in charity! Like mehndi crush makes me beautiful by applying mehndi in his hand.
22.
संतत सम्पति जानि कै, सबको सब कुछ देत !
दीनबंधु बिन दीन की, को रहीम सुधि लेत !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार जो लोग धनवान होते है उनकी मदद करने को हर व्यक्ति तैयार रहता है क्योंकि उन्हें पता है कि जब उनको मदद की जरुरत होगी तो वह धनी व्यक्ति ही उनकी मदद करेगा ! परन्तु गरीब व्यक्ति की मदद भगवान के सिवा और कोई नहीं करता है !
In English : According to Rahim, every person is ready to help those who are rich because they know that when they need help, only the rich person will help them! But no one helps a poor person except God.
23.
परजापति परमेश्वरी , गंगा रूप समान !
जाके रंग तरंग में करत नैन अस्नान !!
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि समस्त जीवो का पालन करने वाली माँ का रूप गंगा की तरह निर्मल और पवित्र होता है ! वह समस्त पापो का नाश करती है ! उनके दर्शन मात्र से ही आँखों को तृप्ति , मन को शांति और ह्रदय को निर्मलता प्राप्त होती है !
In English : Rahim says that the form of the mother who follows all the creatures is pure and pure like Ganga! She destroys all sins! The mere sight of his eyes brings satisfaction to the eyes, peace to the mind and cleanness to the heart.
24.
धनि रहीम जलपक को, लघु जिय पियत अघाय !
उदधि बड़ाई कौन है, जगत पियासो जाय !!
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि कीचड़ से युक्त जल धन्य है जिसे छोटे जिव जंतु भी पीकर तृप्त हो जाते है ! समुद्र का कोई बड्पन्न नहीं क्योंकि संसार की प्यास उससे नहीं मिटती है ! उसी प्रकार जो सेवा भाव वाले लोग होते है वह अच्छे होते है !
In English : Rahim says that blessed with mud is blessed by drinking small live animals too! There is no rise of the sea because the thirst of the world does not disappear from it! In the same way, the people who are in the service sense are good.
25.
रहिमन पर उपकार के , करत न यारी बीच !
मांस दियो शिवि भूप ने , दीन्हो हाड़ दधीच !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार परोपकार करते समय स्वार्थ , अपना पराया , मित्रता आदि नहीं सोचना चाहिए ! राजा शिवि ने कबूतर के प्राण की रक्षा हेतु अपने शरीर का मास और दधिची ऋषि ने अपनी हड्डियां दान दी थी ! इसलिए परोपकार में जीवन का बलिदान करने से भी नहीं हिचकना चाहिए !
In English : According to Rahim, while doing charity one should not think of selfishness, own alienation, friendship etc. King Shiva donated his body mass and Dadhichi Rishi his bones to protect the life of the pigeon! Therefore, one should not hesitate to sacrifice life in charity.
26.
जो घर ही में घुसि रहे , कदली सुपत सुडील !
तो रहीम तिन ते भले, पथ के अपत करील !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार केले का पौधा केवल घर आंगन की शोभा बढाता है ! उनसे तो बेर बबूल के कांटे वाले पेड़ अच्छे है जो आते – जाते राहगीर और पक्षियों को आश्रय देते है !
In English : According to Rahim, the banana plant only beautifies the home courtyard! It is better for them to have thorn trees of plum acacia, which give shelter to passersby and birds as they come and go.
27.
धन दारा अरु सुतन , सो लग्यो है नित चित !
नहि रहीम कोऊ लख्यो , गाढे दिन को मित !!
अर्थ : रहीमदास जी कहते है कि मनुष्य को अपना मन धन , योवन और संतान में ही नित्य नहीं लगाना चाहिए ! क्योंकि जरुरत पड़ने पर इनमे से कोई भी आपका साथ नहीं देगा ! ईश्वर की भक्ति में मन लगाओ ! क्योंकि संकट के समय केवल वही आपका साथ देगा !
In English : Rahimdas ji says that man should not spend his mind in wealth, youth and children only! Because if necessary, none of them will support you! Put your mind in devotion to God! Because only he will support you in times of crisis.
28.
रहिमन तब लगि ठहरिये, दान मान सम्मान !
घटता मान देखिये जबहि, तुरतहि करिए पयान !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि मनुष्य को किसी दूसरी जगह तब तक ही रुकना चाहिए जब तक उसकी इज्जत और सेवा हो ! जब आपको ये एहसास हो जाए कि आपके आदर – भव में कमी हो रही है तो तुरंत वहा से निकल जाना चाहिए !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that a man should stay somewhere else as long as he has respect and service! When you realize that there is a deficiency in your honor – you should leave immediately.

अब रहीम मुमकिल परी गाढे दोउ काम !
साचे से तो जग नहीं झूठे मिले न राम !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार जो मनुष्य सच्चाई पर चलता है उसका जीना मुश्किल है और झूठा बनकर वह प्रभु की प्राप्ति नहीं कर सकता ! भोतिकता और अध्यातम दोनों साथ – साथ नहीं चल सकते !
In English : According to Rahim, a man who walks on the truth is difficult to live and cannot become a lord by becoming a liar! Both materialism and adhyatam cannot go together.
30.
बिगड़ी बात बने नहीं , लाख करो किन कोय !
रहिमन विगरे दूध को , मथे न माखन होय !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार बिगड़ी हुई बात लाख प्रयत्न करने पर भी नहीं सुधरती है ! और फटे दूध को भी चाहे कितना ही मथा जाए उससे मक्खन नहीं निकल सकता ! इसलिए व्यक्ति को हमेशा सोच – समझकर ही बात करनी चाहिए !
In English : According to Rahim, the spoiled thing does not improve even after trying a million! And no matter how much churned milk is churned, butter cannot come out of it! That is why one should always talk thoughtfully.
31.
विपति भये धन ना रहे , रहे जो लाख करोर !
नभ तारे छिपि जात है , ज्यो रहीम ये भोर !!
अर्थ : विपति आने पर धन सम्पति भी चली जाती है ! भले वह लाख , करोड़ में ही क्यों न हो ! जैसे सवेरा होते ही सारे तारे छुप जाते है !
In English : Wealth also disappears when disaster strikes! Even if it is in lakhs and crores! As soon as dawn, all the stars hide.
32.
मांगे मुकरि न को गयो , केहि न त्यागियो साथ !
मांगत आगे सुख लह्यो , ते रहीम रघुनाथ !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी के अनुसार जो मनुष्य मांगता है उसे देने से सब लोग मुकर जाते है और उसे कोई नहीं देता है ! उस व्यक्ति का सब लोग साथ भी छोड़ देते है ! मांगने वाले से तो अच्छा प्रसन्न रहने वाला है जिसका उदार भगवान स्वयं करते है !
In English : According to Rahim Das ji, everyone retracts from the person who asks for it and no one gives it! Everyone leaves that person too! One is going to be well pleased with the one who is asked by the generous God himself.
33.
रहिमन देखि बडेन को , लघु न दीजिये डारि !
जहा कोई आबे सुई , कहा करे तलवारि !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार मनुष्य को कभी भी बड़ो को देखकर छोटो की उपेक्षा नहीं करनी चाहिए ! क्योंकि जहाँ सुई से काम होने वाला हो वहा तलवार कुछ नहीं कर सकती !
In English : According to Rahim, man should never ignore Chhotu by looking at the elders! Because a sword cannot do anything where the needle is going to work.
34.
समय पाप फल होत है , समय पाय झरि जात !
सदा रहे नहि एक सी , का रहीम पचितात !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार वृक्ष पर समय आने पर ही फल लगता है और समय आने पर ही पुनः गिर जाता है ! उसी प्रकार मनुष्य का हर समय एक सा नहीं रहता है ! अतः पछतावा करना व्यर्थ है ! काल का चक्र गतिमान है !
In English : According to Rahim, the tree produces fruit only when the time comes and it falls again when the time comes! Similarly, human beings do not remain the same all the time! So it is pointless to regret it! The cycle of time is in motion.
35.
समय पर ओछे वचन, सबके सहे रहीम !
सभा दुसाशन पट गहे , गदा लिए रहे भीम !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार वीर पुरुष को भी समय पर कडवे बोल सुनने पड़ते है ! सभा में दुसाशन जब द्रोपदी का चीर हरण कर रहा था तो भीम गदा लेकर भी चुपचाप रहे ! समय पर जीवन के लिए व्यूह रचना करनी पड़ती है !
In English : According to Rahim, brave men also have to listen to the words on time! When Dusashan was raping Draupadi in the meeting, Bhima remained silent even with mace! Time has to be created for life.

रहिमन पानी रखिये , बिनु पानी सब सून !
पानी गए ना उबरे , मोती मानुश चुन !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार हमेशा अपनी इज्जत बचा कर रखना चाहिए ! बिना इज्जत के जीवन व्यर्थ है ! पानी की कमी से मोती की चमक और चुना का रंग भी फीका हो जाता है !
In English : According to Rahim, one should always preserve his honor! Life is meaningless without respect! Lack of water also fades the brightness of the pearl and the color of the chunas.

भावी काहू ना दही , दही एक भगवान !
भावी ऐसा प्रवल है , कहि रहीम यह जान !!
अर्थ : रहीम दास जी कहते है कि हानि से कोई नहीं बच सकता ! इसने ईश्वर को भी नहीं छोड़ा ! भावी बहुत प्रबल होता है उसे कोई नहीं बदल सकता !
In English : Rahim Das ji says that no one can escape loss! It did not spare even God! The future is very strong, no one can change it.

रहिमन भेषज के किये , काल जीति जो जात !
बड़े बड़े समरथ भये , तौ न कोऊ मरि जात !!
अर्थ: चाहे मनुष्य कितना भी दवा उपचार कर ले , किसी ने भी आजतक मृत्यु पर विजय नहीं पाई है ! इस संसार में अनेक प्रतापी और सामर्थ्यवान लोग हुए है , लेकिन वे सभी मर गए है ! काल को जितने के लिए यश प्राप्त करो !
In English : No matter how much medicine a person can cure, no one has conquered death till date! There have been many powerful and powerful people in this world, but they have all died! Get fame for winning Kaal.

बड़े बड़ाई ना करे , बड़े न बोले बोल !
रहिमन हीरा कब कहे , लाख टका है मोल !!
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि बड़े लोग कभी भी अपनी बड़ाई अपने मुख से नहीं करते है ! वे बढ़ चढ़ कर कभी नहीं बोलते ! जिस प्रकार से हीरा कभी अपने मुंह से नहीं कहता कि उसका मूल्य लाख रुपया है !
In English : Rahim says that big people never praise themselves with their mouths! They never speak out loud! Just like a diamond never says in its mouth that its value is lakh rupees.

कहू रहीम केतिक रही , केतिक गई विहाय !
माया ममता मोह परि , अंत चले पछिताय !!
अर्थ : अब हमें यह विचार करना चाहिए कि हमारे जीवन का कितना हिस्सा बचा है और कितना हमने नष्ट कर दिया है ! ममता , माया और मोह के चक्कर में पढकर अंततः हमें मृत्यु के समय पछताना पड़ता है !
In English : Now we should consider how much of our life is left and how much we have destroyed! After reading in the affair of Mamta, Maya and Moh, finally we have to repent at the time of death.
41.
जो बड़े को लघु कहे , नहीं रहीम घटि जाहि !
गिरिधर मुरलीधर कहे कछु , दुःख मानत नाहि !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार किसी बड़े को छोटा कहने से वह छोटा नहीं हो जाता ! जिस प्रकार गिरिधर कृष्ण को मुरलीधर कहने से उसका महत्व कम नहीं जाता है ! बड़ा हमेशा बड़ा ही रहता है !
In English : According to Rahim, calling someone elder is not small. Just as Giridhar Krishna is called Muralidhar, his importance does not diminish! Big is always big.

साधू सरा है साधुता जति जोखिता जान !
रहिमन सांचे सुर को बैरी करे बखान !!
अर्थ : जो साधू लोग होते है वह साधुता का और योगो लोग ध्यान समाधी आदि की बड़ाई करते है लेकिन अच्छे वीरो की प्रशंसा का गुणगान उनके दुश्मन भी करते है !
In English : Sadhus who are saintly people praise saintliness and yogis meditate for meditation etc. But even their enemies praise the praise of good heroes.
43.
रहिमन मोहि न सुहाय , अमी पियावत मान विनु !
वरु विश देय बुलाय , मान सहित मरिबो भले !!
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि जो मनुष्य अपमान करके यदि मुझे अमृत भी पिला दे तो वह बिल्कुल भी मुझे स्वीकार नहीं होगा ! इससे से इज्जत के साथ जहर पीकर मर जाना ही अच्छा है !
In English : Rahim says that if a person who insults and drinks me with nectar will not accept me at all! It is good to die by drinking poison with respect.
44.
रहिमन विद्या बुद्धि नहि , नहीं धरम जस दान !
भू पर जनम वृथा धरे , पशु बिन पूछ विशान !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार जिस व्यक्ति के पास बुद्धि , विद्या , धर्म , यश और दानशीलता का गुण नहीं है तो उसका धरती पर जन्म लेना ही व्यर्थ है ! वह पूछ सींग के बिना पशु समान है ! यदि किसी मनुष्य में मानवीय गुण नहीं है तो उसका जीवन बेकार है !
In English : According to Rahim, a person who does not have the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, religion, fame and charity, it is futile to be born on earth! He is like an animal without asking horns! If a man does not have human qualities, then his life is useless.
45.
रहिमन यह तन सूप है , लीजे जगत पछोर !
हलुकन को उडि जान दे , गरुक रखी बटोर !!
अर्थ : यह संसार अन्न का भंडार है और शरीर एक सूप के समान है जो हल्की चीजो को उड़ा देता है और भारी चीजो को बटोर लेता है ! रहीम के अनुसार मनुष्य को इस संसार से महत्वहीन वस्तुओ और विचारो को उड़ा देना चाहिए और महत्वपूर्ण चीजो का संग्रह करना चाहिए !
In English : This world is a repository of food and the body is like a soup which blows light things and collects heavy things! According to Rahim, man should throw away unimportant things and ideas from this world and collect important things.
46.
जो रहीम उत्तम प्रकृति , का करि सकल कुसंग !
चन्दन विश ब्यापत नहीं , लिपटे रहत भुजंग !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार अच्छे चरित्र के स्वभाव वालो पर बुरे लोगो के साथ का कोई प्रभाव नहीं होता है ! जैसे चन्दन के वृक्ष पर सांप लिपटा होने से उस पर विश का कोई प्रभाव नहीं होता है !
In English : According to Rahim, good people have no influence on the nature of good character with bad people. As the snake is wrapped on the sandal tree, there is no effect of Vish on it.
47.
यद्यपि अवनि अनेक है , कुपवंत सरताल !
रहिमन मान सरोवर हि मनसा करत मराल !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार इस संसार में अनेक तालाब ,जलाशय , कुआ आदि है लेकिन हंस को तो केवल मानसरोवर के जल में खेलना ही अच्छा लगता है ! ठीक उसी प्रकार संतो को केवल ईश्वर भक्ति में ही सुख प्राप्त होता है !
In English : According to Rahim, there are many ponds, reservoirs, wells etc. in this world, but the swan only likes to play in the waters of Mansarovar! In the same way, saints get happiness only in devotion.
48.
तासो ही कछु पाइए , कीजे जाकी आस !
रीते सरवर पर गए , कैसे बुझे पियास !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार जिससे कुछ आशा होती है उससे ही हम कुछ प्राप्त कर सकते है ! सूखे तालाब से प्यास नहीं बुझाई जा सकती ! केवल समर्थ परमात्मा से मांगने पर ही कुछ मिल सकता है !
In English : According to Rahim, we can get something only from what is expected! Thirst cannot be quenched by a dry pond! Only by asking from capable God can we get anything.
49.
रहिमन जो तुम कहत थे , संगति ही गुरा होय !
बीच इखारी रस भरा , रस काहे ना होय !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार किसी की संगति करने से लाभ होता है ! परन्तु कभी – कभी संगती से भी लाभ नहीं होता ! जैसे ईख के खेत में कडवा पौधा अपना गुण नहीं छोड़ता ! और दुष्ट कभी अपना जहर नहीं त्यागता !
In English : According to Rahim it is beneficial to associate with someone! But sometimes even consistency does not benefit! For example, a kadva plant does not leave its virtue in the field of reed! And the wicked never give up their poison.
50.
रहिमन नीर परवान बुडे पे सीझे नहीं !
तेसे मुरख ज्ञान बुझे पे सूझे नहीं !!
अर्थ : रहीम के अनुसार पत्थर पानी में डूब जाता है पर कभी तैरता नहीं ! उसी प्रकार मुर्ख व्यक्ति ज्ञान की बाते सुनता जरुर है , लेकिन उसे अपनाता नहीं !
In English : According to Rahim, the stone sinks in water but never floats! Similarly, a foolish person hears the words of knowledge, but does not adopt it.
51.
ओछे को सत्संग रहिमन , तजहु अंगार ज्यो !
तातो जारे अंग सीरे , पे कारो लगे !
अर्थ : रहीम कहते है कि व्यक्ति को नीच की संगती छोडनी चाहिए ! क्योंकि जलने पर वह शरीर को जलती है , और बुझने पर वह कालिख लगा देती है !
In English : Rahim says that the person should leave the company of lowliness! Because when burnt, she burns the body, and when extinguished she burns it.
